5G Edge-XR has won funding offered by a government competition, run by the department of Digital, Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), to deliver the project.
BT
BT is the lead partner, providing app development, sports production and the 5G testbed.
The Grid Factory
The Grid Factory provide the GPU platform for 5G Edge-XR and will support app development for two of the use cases.
DanceEast
DanceEast is providing expertise in Dance and Education for the Dance use case.
Condense Reality
Condense Reality will provide the software to capture and live-stream volumetric video.
Salsa Sound
Salsa Sound will provide audio capture and processing.
University of Bristol
Bristol University will work closely with Condense Reality developing software that will improve the quality of the volumetric capture images.
